If in doubt, go on holiday!
Getaway’s highly successful outdoor and travel show is here! The Western Cape Getaway Show is being held at the magnificent Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West.
“For a few years now, many of Getaway’s clients have requested a show in the Western Cape, and we felt the time was right,” said the show’s manager, Debbie Tapson.
“Lourensford Estate is the perfect venue. It has excellent facilities – it is well-known for its beauty, is easily accessible and has successfully hosted similar large events. The estate also offers excellent opportunities for demos, tastings and numerous other activities that add to the lifestyle element of the show,” added Debbie Tapson.
The Getaway Show is like nothing else you have ever experienced. No matter what your interests, there is something for you. The three-day expo has a uniquely Cape feel, with hikes in the surrounding mountains, wine tastings, photography workshops and a farmer’s market. Other fun activities include archery, Bungee Bounce, Bubble Ball, a climbing wall, helicopter flips and an Isuzu Off-Road Academy Track. This, in addition to the wide range of exhibitors showcasing affordable accommodation, beautiful destinations, camping and outdoor gear, 4x4 vehicles and accessories and adventure opportunities that epitomise the Getaway Show experience. There’s no better way to plan your travels than to have all your choices under one roof (there are also countless show specials on offer and prizes to be won).
A number of tourism authorities have stands at the show: Kynsna Tourism, Lowveld Tourism, Cape Agulhas Toursim, Tourism Malaysia, Namibia Tourism Board, Kenya Tourist Board, as do South African National Parks, Cape Nature and the other organizations that protect our fabulous wild spaces.
If you feel you need an escape but are worried about how to afford it, drop in at the show, who knows you just might catch the kinda break you’re looking for.
