Pay R100 and get R200 off your food bill at Cafe Harambee
The Harambee team is always in the kitchen fusing traditional African cooking and tasty tidbits from their travels around the world creating comfort food with a few contemporary tweaks! Harambee is the East African equivalent to South Africa's 'ubuntu' - and means pulling together towards a common goal. Modern Kenya is built on 'harambee' and it is something we can all aspire to!
Cafe Harambee is a brand new restaurant located on tree-lined Dunkley Square with magnificent views of Table Mountain - the perfect spot in the city to catch a sunset over the city. Enjoy dining alfresco on the deck or in the casually chic atmosphere indoors.

Creating home cooked comfort food with a contemporary twist is what your host Derek had in mind when he started Cafe Harambee. The chef's signature dish is oven baked meatballs on crunchy green bean and onion mash. People swear by his chicken, gammon and port pie. And interestingly the paprika crumbed calf's liver with a red onion, sour cherry and Teriyaki sauce is a big seller. Light meals include a beetroot and goat's cheese salad or cajun chicken salad and choose from a carpaccio or smoked salmon trout sandwich. Partner your meal with wine from Harambee's extensive selection.
The dessert offerings are a 'rich but not sweet' choc mousse torte, croissant and butter pudding with Amarula or creamcheese cake!
