Your feet are useful for so many things; walking, driving, kicking a ball and doing the Macarena on a Saturday night alone in your living room. Make sure your feet are in the best of health and save up to 70% on a diabetic foot or a biomechanical foot assessment at Byron Starkey Podiatrist.  Choose from the following:

  • Pay R120 for a diabetic foot assessment, valued at R300
  • Pay R147 for a biomechanical foot assessment, valued at R490

Diabetes may disrupt the vascular and neurological system; it affects many areas of the body including the feet. For this reason, people with diabetes have to pay special attention to the health and care of their feet with regular visits to an expert podiatrist like Byron Starkey.  A diabetic foot assessment will highlight diabetic foot conditions which develop due to a combination of causes, including poor circulation and neuropathy which causes minor cuts, scrapes, blisters or pressure sores that develop on your feet.  If these minor injuries are left untreated, complications may result.

A biomechanical foot assessment involves a complex evaluation of the feet, legs and body position whilst weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing. At your appointment, they will mainly concentrate on the assessment of your hip, knee and ankle joints. They also assess muscle strength, range-of-motion at important joints, and the angular relationships of the segments of the foot and leg.
