An intensive training programme designed for happy snappers with no experience in digital photography – though obviously, a bit of previous experience is always advantageous – the four-week course with Johnathan Andrews is ideal for anyone looking to get behind the lens. Combining theoretical and practical information and sessions, the course can help your fingers and eyes work together to turn you into a snapshotting dream machine.

Under the compass-like guidance of a professional and experienced instructor, you’ll cover two sessions of theory, as well as one studio practical session, covering everything from studio lighting principles to how to use studio lighting and light meters, lighting techniques and how to set-up your own studio. Apart from a feedback session designed to give you a professional’s view on your work, you’ll also receive four A5 prints to show off your new skills with.

Requirements to attend the course:

  • A digital slr camera (we supply the full range of Nikon digital slr cameras at competitive prices)
  • Gray card (can be bought from JASP @ R85 depending on stock availability)
