It’s not easy contributing to saving the planet. Hybrid cars are pretty expensive, you’ve tried opening the fridge less, but nearly starved and let’s face it, there’s really no way you’re sacrificing your hot bubble baths to switch off the geyser. Today’s Groupon gives you the opportunity to do your bit the easy and fun way – pay R35 for a ticket to the Music and Earth party on Saturday, 28 May.
Featuring Gazelle, Bittereinder and Desmond & The Tutu’s, the Music and Earth Party is sure to get you on your feet and making some noise for a good cause. This must-attend event of the season promises to warm up cold toes and vocal chords and breathe some life into Joburg. While most people will have to queue outside in the cold, hoping to get a spot inside, you’ll be one of the lucky few armed with a Groupon and ready to take your place on the floor.
This beat-packed environmentally conscious show forms part of a series of events, aimed at creating awareness and promoting green living. Along with fellow green soldiers, it’s time to stand firm and start protecting Mother Nature, making her heart beat with joy. Whether it’s to her heart beat or the beat of Desmond and The Tutu’s, the Music and Earth party is sure to have you on your swaying and bobbing your head. Do your bit towards a happier, greener and brighter future by dancing, singing and boogying your way deep into the night.
Green fact: The local Venecian club, Vegetation, is known for all things green – from the décor and the grass covering the floor to the green cocktails and green salads. Everyone wishing to enter the club has to dress entirely in green and dip their heads in a barrel of green food colouring at the door. Vegetation also prides itself on the luscious bed of mold covering the walls in the bathrooms.
