Activities

Offering great bird watching opportunities, Hulala’s feathery population include seven species of Kingfisher, Egyptian Geese, African Jacana and the elusive Narina Trogan. A recent addition to the lodge, guests can perfect their swing at an additional cost, while having a few laughs with the new nine-hole “golf course” – a fun fusion of croquet and golf.  Adventurous guests can enjoy a variety of walking trails along the dam while those looking to explore futher are in close proximity to the White River Country Club, Kruger National Park, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Pilgrim’s Rest, Sudwala Caves and God’s Window.

 Our favourite place during our 2 ½ weeks stay in South Africa. Hulala is a lovely guesthouse overlooking a lake, with some stunning views. We all got (a party of 14) very nice suites, with stylish furniture, fireplace and a great view. Staff was just perfect, from the safety guy to the waiters. We had a very nice dinner there, followed by a great great night at the bar, thanks to Peter, the barman. Breakfast was served on the terrace, in front of a breathtaking landscape. Well, no doubt, we strongly recommend Hulala
