The Reserve
Situated just off the N2, in the Great Brak River region and only 20 minutes from George Airport, the picturesque Zorgfontein Eco & Wildlife Reserve boasts overwhelming views of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains as well as a beautiful landscape made up of breath-taking, green hills. The upmarket reserve offers you and up to five amigos or familia the once-in-a-lifetime experience to walk alongside the great King of the Jungle. Citing their main goal as the breeding and protection of various game and antelope species, Zorgfontein has the animals’ best interests at heart and all are treated ethically, with the utmost care. Lions are one of South Africa's most majestic predators, at Zorgfontein they are raised from cubs and are given, on a daily basis, the opportunity to experience the wild and pleasure of the farm. During your Lion Walk Experience you will interact with three young, playful lions. The walk will take approximately one-hour to complete - depending on how fast the lions are prepared to amble. Accompany these amazing animals on foot through the riverine vegetation and African Bush– there will be no leashes or collars; just a natural African adventure.
The Surroundings
Zorgfontein Eco & Wildlife Reserve is also home to a number of other species such as red and black impala, giraffe, kudu, eland, waterbuck, zebra, springbuck, blue wildebeest, buffalo and bontebok. Located along the breath-taking Garden Route, Great Brak offers travellers sweeping panoramic views complemented by unspoilt beaches from Glentana to Little Brak River. Sporting activities in Great Brak include tennis, squash, bowls and cycling and even the option to perfect your swing at Dolphins Creek Golf Estate or De Kaap Driving Range.
