Each day, Groupon features an unbeatable deal on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in your city. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won’t find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power!"
I like todays deal - how do I get it?
Just click "Buy Now" before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people signs up, we’ll charge your card and send you a link to print your coupon. If not enough people join, no one gets it (and you won’t be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the deal! Groupon is also fun to use with parents, grandparents, children, partners, neighbours, teachers, colleagues, school friends and comrades, and men who wear monocles. Work together to live your city for less!
What happens if the deal doesnt reach its required minimum number of purchasers?
If not enough people sign up, then the deal is cancelled, and you wont be charged. Better luck next time! So if you really want the deal, be sure to either beg or threaten your friends and family.
Do I need to make use of my deal the same day I buy it?
Quite the contrary, though most coupons have an expiration date.
I bought a deal - how do I use it?
Once you’re charged, you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to sign in and print your voucher. It has redemption instructions and a map right on it! The best option however is to print your coupon through the My Orders tab, accessible by clicking My Account in the top right corner once you are logged in.
Can I buy a Groupon deal as a gift for someone else?
Yes. We communicate with all the businesses that we work with that coupons can be gifted, and unless the fine print specifically states otherwise, gift away!
Is Groupon safe?
Extremely. Your credit card number is transmitted by SSL directly to a secure electronic vault. At no time is your credit card information stored on our servers. Nonetheless, this security only applies if you log out of your Groupon account after use! It is your responsibility to keep your Groupon account secure.

Why should I recommend a friend?
The chance of a deal having enough participants increases with every new user that joins Groupon. Therefore you should invite as many of your friends as possible, so that you have the greatest chance of getting your favourite deal! If you already have an account with us every time someone you have recommended buys their first deal, we will reward you with R 25!
How can I recommend a friend to Groupon?
There are many opportunities to recommend a friend to Groupon. On every deal you can find a link, which you can use to send invitations to friends using Twitter, Facebook or Email. On your personal Recommendation page, you can find your personal reference link, which you can post anywhere on the internet to get people to join up.We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw all your credit when the recommendation function is being abused. Afterwards, if abuse continues, we reserve the right to disable your account completely.
I haven’t received my reward credit!
Your friend needs to create an account for the first time and have purchased their first deal within 72 hours of the referral. Your reward will appear as delayed: if after seven days the deal they bought has not been cancelled or withdrawn, and your friend’s payment went through successfully, we will credit your account with R 25, and your next deal will cost R 25 less! We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw all your credit when the recommendation function is being abused. Afterwards, if abuse continue, we reserve the right to disable your account completely.
How long is the credit valid for?
Your credit is valid for a whole six months. Keep this in mind!
How can I spend my credit?

If your credit is worth more than the cost of the deal because you have been recommending lots of friends, then whatever is left over can be redeemed on your next deal. So be sure to tick the box to use your credit when you checkout.
I cant log into my account
Please note that you can subscribe to our newsletters without creating a Groupon account. Therefore, the fact that you receive our emails does not mean you have registered. If your email address is not recognised, you will have to register to purchase a deal.
I can’t remember my password...
The forgotten password link will send an email to your account-holding email address with a link to reset your password, but there can be a short time-lag before you receive this email.
I havent received my voucher!
Vouchers are only emailed out once the deal you bought is closed – that is when the countdown on the website elapses.
However, due to rising Internet security standards, vouchers are sometimes flagged as spam. In this case, your voucher could have been redirected to your Junk Mail folder or your mail provider may have rejected it altogether. To avoid this, be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your Safe Senders list in your contacts.
Anyhow - not to worry! Your voucher can be accessed by logging in to your Groupon account via the blue ribbon. Once logged in, the My Account button displays a menu, which includes My Orders. The My Orders tab holds all the vouchers you ever purchased with Groupon. From there onwards, click the link for the relevant voucher, print and go!
Can I return a voucher?
Returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. Within the limits of reason, we’ll do what it takes to make you happy. Unless there is something wrong with the purchase, we are generally unable to offer refunds after one week from the purchase date. If you’d like to discuss returning a deal, e-mail support(at)groupon.co.za.

No. Unless otherwise stated you do not receive store credit or cash back for whatever you dont use.
