The Ranch at a Glance

Schoonkloof Game Ranch is a 2 400 hectare ranch established in 2004, boasting 37 species of game including, Black Impala, White Spring Buck and Golden Gnu as well as 250 species of bird. Offering travellers accommodation in a rustic hunting camp, the ranch can provide game drives and bird watching activities.

Specialising in breeding endangered and exotic animals, travellers to the ranch will have a chance to encounter rare animals while indulging in a relaxed stay. The ranch also provides for hunting with a bow and rifle as well as game viewing from hides. For guests who are not hunting inclined, the ranch has a swimming pool and Jacuzzi where guests while away an afternoon.

Travellers can take to the Hennops mountain bike trail for an adrenaline pumping route or take on the 12km Doornriver 4x4 trail in Skeerpoort. The Hartbeespoort Dam always welcomes travellers and has a host of activities including river rafting to explore. Dotted with a myriad of small towns rich in history, visitors can see quaint sites like the Van Gaalen Cheese Factory or the Brauhaus am Damm micro-brewery in Rustenberg.
