Groups meet at the Bo-Kaap Museum on 71 Wale Street at 11:00 for a two-hour tour through the rich history and culture of Cape Town’s colourful suburbs. The tour covers a viewing of the oldest Mosque in South Africa, the oldest Dutch House, a walk through the National Monument Strip to enjoy the cobbled street scenes and interact with the people before paying a visit to the shrines of saints and political exiles at the Tana Baru burial ground. The tour ends with tea and traditional Malay cakes in the area.
